A truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity awaits you at Arlberg ski area: Lech-Zürs is the only place in Austria, which offers Heliskiing. You mount a helicopter and will be taken to one of two imposing peaks. From there you start your personal run through the deepest powder fun. It is a completely worry-free experience because a certified guide is at your side.

The two heli-skiing peaks 

  • Mehlsack-Gipfel for competent, very experienced and adventurous skiers. There are 2 descent variants: one in direction "Älpele" and one in direction Spullersee. 
  • Schneetäli-Orgelscharte for medium level experienced skiers. The landing point of the copter will give you chills! the descent goes towards Zug.

The snow flakes that fall from the sky here are transformed into that wonderful powder snow that freeriders and nature-loving ski-tourers alike long for. The topography of the Arlberg results in 200 kilometers of high-alpine deep snow runs. These can also be reached with the state-of-the-art cable cars. You can decide at any time during your skiing holiday whether you want to go uphill or whether you want to devote the day to pure skiing pleasure.

With all this independence and freedom, it is however advisable to hire an experienced local ski guide if you choose to adventure further. The guide will choose the optimal routes taking into account the weather and snow conditions. Of course you will find such a competent ski guide at the local ski schools - and rest assured, the “real local” will find the best runs with you. Your day will be pure excitement!

However, Lech-Zürs and all of Arlberg will only remain such an incomparable winter sports pearl if everyone strives together to keep nature intact. It is therefore important to respect the inaccessible protected zones and natural spaces. The flora and fauna need these retreats. Please be respectful & careful.
